I am swimming against current of a muddy river to reach Bali, leaving Maldives. I choose to take this swim. The swim is not difficult, it is easy even though it is against current. But I keep wondering why water is muddy and why am I not feeling tired. I also feel if there are certain animals under and feel a little scared, but I continue swimming. Soon, I see an animal on the water surface, I feel it is a crocodile and I quickly clim on to the shore. Once I am on the shore, I see that it is not a crocodile, but an elephant. The elephant then given me a look and swims away against the current. Now I am stuck, unaware where to go though I have an idea how to go back. Then I see an alone woman walking next to the river, she covers her face as she sees me. I ask her for directions. She asks me where I stay and I am unable to remember the name of the hotel I am staying in. I give her the name of famous Krishna temple of Udupi, but she is unable to understand. She doesn't guide anything and goes. I myself thinking how to proceed and try to get back using a boat, following someone who says they me take me to the boat. I find it uncomfortable and feel like I am cheated and I start to climb and walk back. On the way I see people judging me, young children seeing me and laughing because I will not have clothes on my body. I have the barr minimum bikini in. I finally on my own find a bus and sit amongst the crowd like that, and when the bus reached a cross road, I get down as the bus was taking a different route. I take the curtains of window in the bus to cover myself. But walk back to my home was still long. As soon as I start walking, I realise that out of all the things I was carrying in my hand, I had a scarf which I could have used to cover myself long ago without undergoing all the stare, discomfort till now.
Dreams often draw upon our subconscious experiences, emotions, and desires, creating vivid narratives that can be rich in symbolism. Your dream contains several themes that can provide insights into your current state of mind and possibly your waking life. 1. **Swimming Against the Current**: Swimming against a current can symbolize challenges or struggles you may be facing in your life. However, you noted that the swim is easy, indicating resilience and strength in overcoming obstacles. It could suggest that you are in a transitional period where you're choosing your own path, even if it seems against the flow of societal expectations or norms. 2. **Muddy Water**: The mud in the river might represent confusion, uncertainty, or lack of clarity in your life. Water often symbolizes emotions, and muddy water could indicate that you are navigating through complicated feelings or situations. 3. **Animals Underwater**: Feeling scared of animals under the water could reflect anxiety about the unknown aspects of your life. The presence of potentially dangerous creatures suggests that you may feel threatened by certain underlying issues or fears. 4. **Crocodile or Elephant**: The transformation from a crocodile to an elephant is significant. Crocodiles can represent primal fears, instincts, and potential threats. However, when it turns into an elephant, which is typically associated with wisdom, memory, and strength, it implies that your fears may not be as dangerous as you perceive and instead carry deeper meanings or lessons. 5. **The Woman and Seeking Guidance**: Your interaction with the woman represents a search for guidance or support. Her inability to understand you, along with your struggle to remember where you stayed, can reflect feelings of disconnection or lack of clarity about your direction in life. It also indicates an internal conflict where you may feel unanchored or out of place. 6. **Judgment and Public Exposure**: The feelings of being judged for wearing minimal clothing, especially when you have a scarf that you overlooked, can signify vulnerability and fear of judgment from others. It could reflect feelings of inadequacy or self-consciousness about how you present yourself to the world. 7. **The Bus and the Journey**: The bus can represent a collective journey or the path you're currently on. Choosing to get off at the crossroads indicates a desire to take control of your own journey and make decisions that are right for you, rather than passively following where others lead. Overall, your dream seems to reflect a journey of self-discovery and empowerment amidst confusion and feelings of vulnerability. It suggests a need to confront your fears, seek clarity in emotional situations, and recognize your own strength and resources (like the scarf). You may be navigating some life transitions and looking for your own direction while being mindful of external judgments and expectations.
